About Me
My journey has taught me the value of presence, compassion, and self-discovery—I'm here to walk alongside you.
Hello. My name is Iwona. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, which means I believe that everyone is different and we need to choose the approach that suits each person best. I am a member of BACP and currently completing my post-graduation in Psychological Trauma.
My passion for helping others comes from my own experiences of feeling unheard and unsupported. I know how lonely that can feel. It is deeply important to me that no one who sits with me ever feels they have to face their struggles alone. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can be fully yourself — exactly as you are.
I don't see myself as the expert in your life — you are. My role is to walk alongside you, to listen deeply, and to support you as you reconnect with your inner strength, self-worth, and hope.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer with Samaritans, and I serve as Director of Maddison Mae Organisation, supporting people through grief and trauma. These roles continually remind me of the power of human connection and the courage it takes to reach out.
I am a registered member of the BACP and am currently completing my post-graduate training in Psychological Trauma.
I am based in Bournemouth / Poole and also offer online sessions, so you can access support in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
I am committed to ongoing learning so that I can offer safe, ethical, and trauma-informed support.
